Adriatic Sea, Autumn 2015 - Wreck removal of 3 stranded cement carriers
Marine Construct International (MCI) completed the operations for the removal of 3 cement carriers from their rocky beach positions. The 3 vessels were beached during a severe Bora storm and MCI , with support from her Croatian subsidiary Marine Construct doo, were awarded the wreck removal contract by owners and P&I club in July 2105. The operations started early August with the preparation on the first Vessel, MV Krka which was after being patched pulled off successfully from the rocks in the first week of September. The second vessel MV Orebic was completed in a similar operation later in September. The last vessel, MV Vranjic was, after the preparations off the vessel were completed, pulled back to the sea with the total 600 ton capacity chain pullers equipment installed on the salvage pontoon and with support of MCI work vessel M12.
Croatia, spring/ summer 2015 - Reconstruction of breakwaters.
Marine Construct doo was awarded 2 contracts for reconstruction of breakwaters in Dubrovnik and Ploce whereby Marine Construct used their 90 ton crawler crane on the work pontoon with the heavy rock grab to install the rocks. Prior to that several dredging works were performed with the crawler crane and hydraulic excavator crane and also a concrete pier head was constructed.
Split Croatia, 2015/ 2016 - drilling/ concreting of piles for cruise terminal
Marine Construct doo works here as sub-contractor for the building JV and provides the marine spread for the pile drilling and concreting works and technical management of these operations. In total 321 piles with a diameter of up to 1.8 m and with pile lengths of up to 35 meter need to be drilled into the deeper lime rock layers.
Indonesia, Spring 2012 until present - Jack Up barge as O&G power facility plant
MCI contracted this long term project in 2012 whereby the MCI owned Jack Up barge LISA-A is being utilized as a 16 GW power facility plant in order to boost the oil production in the Widuri Offshore field in the Java Sea for a major oil company.
Zadar Croatia, Winter 2011 /spring 2013 - Transport , lift and installation of 2250 pcs of heavy concrete elements for construction of a new cruise terminal
Marine Construct doo received contract from main contractor Strabag for the supply and operation of the full marine spread under a lump sum contract for installation of in total 2250 concrete prefab elements with single weights of up to 150 tons. The majority of these elements had to be installed underwater with support of divers and with a only a few centimeters tolerance.
North Sea, Autum 2011- Charter of Jack Up barge for Installation of 2 monopile structures with offshore wind meteo masts
MCI contracted this project and acted as the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners of jack up barge Lisa for this project with Dutch contractor Van Oord. The project involved the installation and piling of 2 pieces of 240 tons monopiles completed with offshore wind meteo masts. The first one was installed 50 NM offshore from Cuxhaven and the second one 25 NM off the coast from IJmuiden.
French Atlantic Coast, summer 2011 - Charter of Jack Up barge for geotechnical drilling works
MCI contracted this project and acted as the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners of jack up barge Lisa for this project with Dutch contractor Van Oord. The project involved the installation and piling of 2 pieces of 240 tons monopiles completed with offshore wind meteo masts. The first one was installed 50 NM offshore from Cuxhaven and the second one 25 NM off the coast from IJmuiden.
North Sea, August 2010 - Pontoon charter
MCI acted as the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners of the pontoon H-331 which was chartered out to Heerema Marine Contractors to load and transport the 850 ton deck module of the K5-CU satellite platform for Total E&P Nederland. The module was towed to the Dutch sector block K5 , 130 kilometers from Den Helder. At this location the 30 meter long, 20 meter wide and 17 meter high module was installed with HMC crane vessel Thialf. During the same period pontoon H-332 was chartered also to Heerema to assist with various jobs in Flushing's and Rotterdam.
Shanghai-Rotterdam, 2010 - Offshore transport of casco hulls from China
MCI contracted and managed the new building of pontoons H-331 and H-332 on behalf of owners. For the maiden voyage from China both pontoons were contracted to transport a deck cargo of new build hulls of inland cargo barges and tanker vessels from Shanghai to Rotterdam. The loading, sea fastening and transport was contracted and managed by MCI (50%) subsidiary company RDMC International.
Rhyl Flats , December 2009 - exchange of offshore WTG
In December 2009 LISA successfully performed the generator change out at wind turbine position nr. 24 on the Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm for account of Siemens Windpower A/S. This quick intervention job went very smoothly and was completed to the full satisfaction of client. MCI contracted this project and was the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners.
Gunfleet sands , October 2008 - Offshore installation of a template frame
MCI contracted this project and acted as the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners of crane barge Anna 4 for the of offshore installation of a substation template frame at 'Gunfleet Sands' Offshore wind farm.
Gibraltar, 2008/2009 - Wreck removal 'New Flame'
Supply of the fully equipped salvage support pontoon 'Bigfoot' to assist Salvage company Titan with their wreck removal operations of the New Flame, a bulk carrier loaded with over 42,000 tons of scrap metal.
Ireland, May 2008 - Installation of sea current turbine
MCI contracted this project and acted as the contract and operational manager on behalf of owners of crane barge Missing Link and successfully installed the MCT 1.2 MW
